Moderne Toyota-auto's zijn gevuld met veel sensoren die controleren hoe elk systeem in de auto zich gedraagt. De lampjes op het dashboard geven aan welke systemen in gebruik zijn en geven ook aan wanneer een van die systemen niet naar behoren werkt.

Dieselbrandstoffilters scheiden de sporen van water in dieselbrandstof af voordat het in de motor terechtkomt, waar het schade kan veroorzaken. Dit gele lampje geeft aan dat het dieselbrandstoffilter vol is en geleegd moet worden.

When this light goes red it means that at least one element of the airbag safety system is not working correctly:either the airbag system itself; the front passenger occupant classification system, which detects the front passenger’s weight and position in order to safely deploy the airbag; or the seatbelt pretensioner system, which tightens the belt in the event of a crash.
